One For All: Teacher Professional Learning

​Friday 4 October 10:00am - 3:00pm

Tantrum, Story Factory and Belvoir invite high school English and Drama teachers to a FREE trial of their new NESA accredited (4hrs) professional learning module.
Based on One For All – a collaborative playwriting project in Western Sydney – teachers will be given a practical guide on how to recreate the process in their own schools.

One For All: Play Reading – When the Leaves Fall

What happens when 80 students are asked to write the one play? One For All – a collaborative playwriting project by Story Factory and Belvoir – did just that! When the Leaves Fall is a fresh new script about how teenagers view themselves and adulthood. Hear it read by Tantrum X Ensemble before being staged for the first time in December.


Ibis

The spectacle of a giant, roving ibis puppet wandering around the Newcastle Museum. The puppet interacts with the audience and the audience are invited to participate. Themes of Novacastrian adaptability and co-existing perceptions of Newcastle personified through a giant, roving Bin Chicken.


This work was developed through Tantrum Youth Arts’ Trajectory Residency Program, which is supported by City of Newcastle and Create NSW, and is part of the GENERATE program – a partnership between Tantrum and Crack Festival, supported by Create NSW
 


Precondition

Precondition is an immersive, interactive and educational piece of theatre designed to demonstrate different aspects of what it’s like to live with invisible disabilities. Inviting audiences to share in a series of games and activities combining film and live performances to experience the highs and lows of the invisible disability l​​ife.
