This is ACON’s most iconic and much-loved campaign that raises vital funds to end HIV stigma, prevent new HIV transmissions and support people living with HIV in NSW. This morning tea will be held on Friday 29 November, in the lead up to World AIDS Day on December 1 – an internationally recognised day that raises awareness of HIV, and remembers those we have lost to an AIDS-related illness.
Newcastle Museum will be exhibiting the quilts for Red Friday that have been lovingly made by friends, carers, lovers and families of people in the Hunter who have died from an AIDS related illness during the period of late 1980's to late 1990's.
