Hunter Science Festival
A full day of free science fun!

•    build and race a solar car with Hunter Valley Electric Vehicles;
•    make "poo" with world-class HMRI gut researchers and find out how food is turned into poo;
•    climb into a Council garbage truck and talk to the driver;
•    win prizes at fun family science trivia competitions; and
•    explore interactive science tables from all the Hunter Science Hub members!

Newcastle Museum and Stream bring to you ‘Brain’ and ‘Biomes’. ‘Brain’ and ‘Biomes’ are science art collaborations and offer a mix of observational and interactives components. ‘Brain’ explores the impressive inner workings of our brains and ‘Biomes’ re-engages us with the wonders of the natural world. Together the Brain and Biomes exhibitions show how connected to our environment we really are.

Remote Music Collaboration Software platforms facilitate social networking, virtual studio collaboration and live music performances over the Internet. Collaborative software platforms enabling interaction between global communities of music makers have grown exponentially in the last decade and have undergone further changes during the Covid-19 pandemic. In this presentation, Martin K. Koszolko will discuss the functional side of remote music collaboration software, available technologies as well as challenges and best practices concerning finding and engaging new music collaborators.

Dr Martin K. Koszolko is a recognised expert in remote music collaboration. He is an award-winning music producer who has been creating music for over 2 decades. He has presented at national and international seminars and conferences and has published in the area of the art of collaborative music production and music innovation.

Beginner Natural History Illustration Workshop

Beginner drawing workshops which help us engage with the environment, encourage a love of nature and grow a desire to explore and protect our world. Come and learn about our local biodiversity through creative and artistic activities, highlighting the intricacies and beauty of the things we take for granted. These workshops are suitable for ages 6 and above. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
