Every year, World Music Day 21 June is celebrated around the globe.

In the recent years, a worldwide movement called Make Music Day emerged with the goal to commemorate this day and in 2018 Australia has joined other participating countries with its own Make Music Day Australia.

Make Music Day is currently celebrated in more than 750 cities in 120 countries and the best part is: Everyone can join! Professionals or amateurs, you can be either doing a livestream of a concert,  film yourself busking at a local street corner, or record your own performance in your living room.

Newcastle Museum, in collaboration with National Music Academy students and Novatones, barbershop style singing a cappella chorus, decided to organise our own little tribute to Make Music Day Australia 2021.

So, come join us in this global celebration of music, enjoy live concerts and sing along with us!

NMA and Novatones are sure to lift your spirits up and to appeal to every musical taste with their diverse and funky repertoires that range from classical to modern tunes.

National Music Academy is especially proud to have their younger students represented at this event to help them build up confidence, self- belief, by displaying their musical talents in a public forum.
