The Newcastle Museum is located at 6 Workshop Way, Newcastle, only a short walk to the Honeysuckle Foreshore and nearby public transport.
There are two main entrances to Newcastle Museum, one via Workshop Way, right next to the big red hook and one via Museum Park accessible via Wright Lane or Hunter Street. Both entrances are wheelchair accessible.

Hunter Bus Network routes 11, 13, and 23 stop on King Street. Closest stops:- University House (Stop 230048)

Train
The Central Coast & Newcastle Line runs from Sydney Central Station to Newcastle Interchange. From there, take the light rail to the Museum.Light Rail
Runs between Newcastle Interchange and Newcastle Beach.- Operates daily: 5am – 1am
- Get off at Civic Station for the Museum.
Ferry
