Collection Donation Offers
Newcastle Museum collects objects that tell the story of Newcastle and Novocastrians.
Newcastle Museum reviews all collection offers to make sure acquisitions meet the requirements of our Collection Policy.
Making a Collection Offer
If you would like to donate an object to Newcastle Museum, please contact the Museum Curator by phone or email. The Curator's contact details are below.
Please provide the Curator with as much information as you can about your object, including images, a description of the object, and relevant history, if known.
The Curator may then arrange a time to meet with you to view the object and learn more about its history, condition and relevance to the collection.
Please do not leave any material at the Museum unless previously arranged with the Curator.
If your collection offer is not suitable for Newcastle Museum, the Curator may suggest other appropriate collecting institutions for you to contact.
If your collection offer is accepted, the Curator will arrange for you to sign a Gift Acknowledgement Form to confirm your donation. The donated object will be conserved, catalogued and placed into storage, where it can be accessed for research or exhibition purposes.
