ANZAC day at Newcastle Museum - 25 April 2012
The Newcastle Museum will honour the lives of the men and women lost in war by creating a field of crosses and poppies this ANZAC Day.
Around 250 crosses and 750 poppies will carpet the lawn between the Museum and the Civic Railway Station. The crosses were kindly donated by the City of Newcastle Sub-branch of the RSL.
Names posted by visitors on the Museum’s Last Remains display have been collected and will be displayed on the Museum Poster Pole. The Museum will continue to collect names throughout the year and display them every ANZAC Day to honour the fallen.
Fresh Museum ANZAC biscuits will be available for sale throughout the week of 24 – 29 April. Copies of the recipe will be available for free.
