We are excited to welcome our community back to Newcastle Museum from Tuesday 23 June. Measures have been introduced to ensure the safety of our visitors and staff as we comply with the latest NSW Public Health Orders.

Admission to Newcastle Museum is free, however booking are essential to ensure the health and safety of all visitors. We look forward to opening the doors and sharing exhibitions with you.

We invite you to explore the collection, exhibitions and the BHP Steelmaking Simulation. To help you make the most of your visit during the COVID-19 recovery phase and inform you of changes you will experience on your visit, please see the Frequently Asked Questions below.

Book your free visit to Newcastle Museum

Newcastle Museum is open for three 1-hour sessions, Tuesday – Saturday. During this time you can explore the collection, new exhibitions and enjoy a 6-minute BHP Steelmaking Simulation. Bookings are essential.
