Newcastle Permanent 110

In 1903, when the Wright Brothers were taking their historic first flight, another historic idea was taking off in Newcastle – the formation of our town’s first building society, Newcastle Permanent.

To mark their 110th anniversary this year, Newcastle Permanent are bringing their story to life with an interactive exhibit at Newcastle Museum. Come along from Tuesday 19 February 19 to walk through the building society’s rich history, featuring original artefacts, fun facts and a giant magnetic board game for the kids.
