How to get here

By Car

Newcastle Museum is in the heart of Honeysuckle, Newcastle. There are many public parking options at Honeysuckle.

Care Park manages the Lee Wharf, Wright Lane and Throsby car parks. Those car parks have the following spaces available:

  • Lee Wharf Car Park – 257 spaces (free parking on weekends)
  • Throsby Car Park – 270 spaces (free parking on weekends)
  • Wright Lane Car Park – 188 spaces

Other nearby car parks include the Doran Car Park on Wharf Road and The Store Car Park. All on-street parking is managed by Newcastle City Council.

By Train

Sydney and Hunter trains terminate at Hamilton Station. You can transfer to Shuttle Bus 110 to Civic Station which is right at our doorstop.

By Bus

There are bus stops on Hunter Street outside Civic Station. For more information visit  Newcastle Buses or call 131 500.

Disability Parking

Designated public parking spaces are available in the Wright Lane carpark for Mobility Parking Scheme permit holders.  This carpark is managed by Carepark who can be contacted via email at enquiries@carepark.com.au. Web address:  www.carepark.com.au.)
